I thought polyskin didn't look as good as lace. CoolPiece has been telling us that for five years! PDF Print E-mail

In 2005 polyskin improved on several different occasions. Now we can no longer say that polyskin cannot look as good as lace. In 2007, it became possible to make injected polyskin much thinner, so the disadvantages of hair shedding from the looped skins (Polyskins 3 and 2) could be avoided.

For the wearer who wants a really easy time and never to have to deal with glue, or residue or solvents, a polyskin base offers an alternative solution. Just keep the area below shaved smooth, and attach the unit with one piece of no-residue tape near the front, and another near the back. The polyskin will "vacuum" itself to the hairless scalp over the entire non-taped area and you can quickly remove and replace the whole unit for a daily scalp shampoo. No sticky mess!

Polyskin 3 is so thin and sticky that it's quite hard to safely remove tape from it so we recommend glue for Polyskin 3, currently our least detectable, but also least durable material.

Please consider durability also. Polyskin 3 is a looped material and the hair sheds quite quickly. So it's amazing, but not durable. In 2007, the new thinner injected polyskin is for the first time able to provide a reasonably undetectable front hairline edge, but upon very close magnified inspection, the slight bend at the "root" of each hair makes it look a little unnatural, so we don't really promote injected skin bases too enthusiastically.
