How do I shampoo with the unit in place? PDF Print E-mail

If the unit is lace or mono, water and shampoo can get through to wash your scalp beneath, (Except at the bonding points). Avoid very warm or hot water. Wet the hair, apply shampoo and create the beginnings of a lather without vigorously lathering. Run a little more water over the hair to move the lather through your lace or monofilament to the oily scalp below and allow the lather to remain there for a while before rinsing.

Pat or blot dry very gently with a towel. Do not rub your hair with the towel. Do not comb wet hair. Tip: detergents such as shampoo don't clean, only the lather from detergents can clean. Lather!

For polyskin units, you will be unlikely to get dirty hair before you get a filthy scalp. Remove it and shampoo your head!
