My hair was curlier when it was new PDF Print E-mail
Donor hair is almost straight. The permanent wave process is not entirely permanent, whether it's your real growing hair or a hairpiece. You can wash and brush out the radius over time, so you should not expect the curliness to remain constant over a long period of time. Bear in mind also that chemical perms are bad for the hair too, so avoid ordering too curly in an effort to make the perm last longer. Use a curling cream (styling product) to get the best out of a perm over a long time.

Even synthetic hair, which is curled with dry steam, will relax to a straighter form over time at approximately the same rate as human hair. The same care procedures will prolong this curl also.
