If you experience irritation or any reaction, let your skin recover before continuing to attach hair, if possible. If nit possible, do so at night, sleeping without the unit adhered. Time and air will clear it up. Such cases are very rare.??Skin oiliness dictates how long the adhesives last, because oil is an adhesive remover. Also it will make a difference if you are sedentary in a cool place versus sweating it out and exercising hard each day.??The daily use of adhesives and solvents on the skin has not been officially studied for any long term health risks but it should be known that a small minority of people are sensitive to the chemicals found in various adhesive products and solvents. It is possible that using these products year after year on a daily basis could have some negative effect on any user's health. Until proper scientific studies have been conducted we all use these products at our own risk, and look absolutely fabulous as we do so. ???MSDS: Our adhesives and accessories are made by various American manufacturers who generally do not provide an MSDS due to proprietary blends. The common ingredients will have MSDS which can be found with a web search.???Skin and hair products??Scalp Protector??Reduces the chance of irritation or allergic reaction to tapes and adhesive if you have sensitive skin. Improves adhesion for oily or acidic skin. Improves adhesion in hot humid weather. Helps prevent gooey messy meltdown of tapes. Makes cleaning system easier. Just dab it on to skin and hairpiece before applying tape. Is also used as a "knot sealer".??This product contains methacrylate film former until it is dry.??Please note, this product is designed as a barrier for solvent based goues such as Ultra Hold, Mity Tite, Tight Grip etc. It is completely unneccesary for water based white glues such as CoolPiece Cream Adhesive or Oil Resistant White Glue and in fact we find white glues work better without scalp protector.??Cleaners, solvents and releasers??The only two you need!??Adhesive Remover??Safely and quickly removes all glue from scalp, skin, lace, hair, polyurethane etc. Based on ultra light cosmetic-grade natural mineral oil and fruit oil essence, it is very gentle on sensitive skin and shampoos away easily. Eagle Lace Tape
A very invisible, no-residue, non-shiny tape designed for lace front hairlines. It is pliable and stretchable so you can take a certain contour and apply in in a different shape. It gives a reasonably strong hold but is not ideal in steamy or hot water environments. Low visibility and lack of residue make it the perfect daily tape also, but it's designed to hold much longer.
Stick It!
This is a strong adhesion tape. And it is definitely a no-residue tape! ??A no-residue tape that is very clean, with none of that sticky stuff on your forehead after a long and hot attachment.??Tip: If using on low density lace or near an exposed edge, then after the lace is attached, use fingertip or lint free damp towel to remove almost all shine. You may find the printed side is less shiny. This tape in roll format is very low shine!??The manufacturer says this will hold for as long as you can stand it, until your re-growth pokes right through your hairpiece, until you smell like a hobo. Of course no matter how good an adhesive, we recommend frequent removal for hygiene and health reasons, but at least now you have the option of being as lazy as a full-service-salon client who never takes his own hair off.??We say, in tests this tape has as strong a hold as you would ever need, and is the cleanest in that there is no seepage of sticky residue under sweaty or oily-skin conditions. When it's time to release, our lace release easily removes the tape and there seems to be absolutely no trace of any residue left behind on lace or skin, so no adhesive remover is ever needed.
No Residue Sunshine Tape??Medium-shine clear tape with a 5-15 day hold that comes off so cleanly you will want to use it for daily attachment also. The C curve is our single most popular product! Designed for extended wear and no clean up issues.??Gives a strong hold, and is released easily leaving behind no mess whatsoever, either on the hairpiece or on the skin. Plus, with a long-term bond, no sticky stuff ever appears through the lace or on the forehead beyond the hairline, so no dirt has anything sticky to stick to, meaning this product gives you a clean and touchable forehead and hairline on the second day!??It is not 100% ideal, because it has a shine to it that you may see through the lace, but you can knock this shine down with your fingers, and the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Note: the side adjacent to the printed backing is less shiny than the side adjacent to the brown split backing, so if using with a lace front, peel and apply split side to scalp first, then peel the printed side and place lace down onto it.??Walker No Shine Tape??A little more expensive, but worth it because you cannot see it! This tape really does replace messy glue. It holds well and with very little sticky residue. Great for the front hairline of a lace unit when you wear your hair back. By day three it clearly outperforms any type of glue, because there is no sticky, gummy stuff anywhere beyond the edge of your unit. What a pleasure to have a product like this available.??Note: the less shiny side is the split side, so the manufacturer designed it to be applied to the base first, but you can still apply to skin first if you simply peel the long side first and then remove the split papers from your scalp.??Extenda Bond Mini Strips??Low-shine very strong bonding tape. Comes in bag of 36. Each tape is 1.5" X 0.75" with a slight curve. Stronger even than Blue Liner Tape and less messy. Results vary, but you will probably get a very long hold from this tape. The manufacturer says 6 weeks, we say 1 to 3 weeks is very likely. Note: We highly recommend removal every few days at the least, for health and hygiene reasons.??Different types of glue??Oil Resistant White Glue

Ultra Hold Adhesive??A professional acrylic adhesive that you brush on the skin, allow to dry then push the lace down onto. Lasts 1 to 5 weeks, depending on skin oiliness, perspiration and heat.??Advantages: Strong bonding confidence. Tip: use the thinnest possible coat to help with clean up. Great for ocean diving, contact sports, etc.??Disadvantages: Must be released thoroughly with lace release or adhesive remover. Can present a clean up challenge, and can begin to lose adhesion on very oily skin after a few days. This product contains 2.6% toluene until it is dry.

  • A little more expensive, but worth it because you cannot see it! This tape really does replace messy glue. It holds well and with very little sticky residue. Great for the front hairline of a lace unit when you wear your hair back. By day three it clearly outperforms any type of glue, because there is no sticky, gummy stuff anywhere beyond the edge of your unit. What a pleasure to have a product like this available.
  • Note: the less shiny side is the split side, so the manufacturer designed it to be applied to the lace base first, but you can still apply to scalp first if you simply peel the long side first and then remove the split papers from your scalp.
